Fun flower table lamp with petals by Bernard Gitton in chrome steel which open or close under the effect of heat thanks to a thermal timer.

Oxidation marks on all the petals (see photos)

Works perfectly with incandescent bulb only (provided)

Bernard Gitton, born in Tours in 1925, is a scientist by training. Doctor in physical sciences (Orsay, 1967), he was a research fellow at the CNRS until 1972 then a project manager at Anvar, Ministry of Industry from 1972 to 1979.
From 1979, he devoted himself to technological art as designer and artistic director of the Atelier Bernard Gitton, Les Rosiers-sur-Loire (49).
Among his creations we find clepsydras and water clocks, a dozen of which are visible on this site.
