Désirée Stentoj is a Danish artist and designer born in 1935. She is known for her ceramics, lamps and other art objects.
Stentoj studied ceramics at the Danish National School of Ceramics in Bornholm. After graduating in 1959, she worked as a designer for several Danish companies, including Bing & Grøndahl and Norden. In 1968, she founded her own company, Désirée Stentoj.
Stentoj ceramics are characterized by their simple shapes and geometric patterns. She often uses bright colors and bold contrasts. His lamps are also very popular. They are generally made of ceramic and have simple geometric shapes.
Stentoj is an important figure in mid-century Danish design. His work is exhibited in museums and galleries around the world.
