Large and massive vintage Hans-Agne Jakobsson lamp in gilded brass and translucent purple glass. Good general condition. Note a slight defect in the glass on the upper part, without any visual impact (see photo).

Hans-Agne Jakobsson was a renowned Swedish designer, best known for his work in lighting. Born in 1919 and passed away in 2009, Jakobsson left a significant legacy in the world of Scandinavian design. His career spanned a period when Swedish design was flourishing, marked by characteristics such as functionality, simplicity and the use of natural materials.

Jakobsson founded his own company, Hans-Agne Jakobsson AB, in the 1950s, where he began designing and producing lighting fixtures. He is particularly known for his pendant lamps, floor lamps and wall lights that reflect the minimalist, clean style of Scandinavian design.

His designs were often characterized by the use of high-quality materials such as brass, glass and wood. Jakobsson was also attentive to the practical aspect of his designs, seeking to create lighting fixtures that provided not only a pleasing aesthetic, but also effective functionality.
