Large Brutalist sunburst wall mirror made of cut, worked and welded metal, probably produced in Europe around the 1960s–1970s.
The composition is centred around a circular mirror plate, surrounded by a broad arrangement of long, irregular and overlapping metal rays. Their radiating form evokes a sunburst, flames or stylised leaves.
The metal has a dark patinated finish, with shades of brown, black and oxidised bronze, highlighted in places with gold-toned accents applied irregularly to some of the tips and welded areas. These contrasts emphasise the sculptural quality and depth of the mirror.
The construction is deliberately expressive, with irregular cuts, visible welds and surface variations forming an integral part of its Brutalist aesthetic. The piece appears to be a handcrafted or workshop-made production rather than an industrially manufactured object.
With a maximum diameter of approximately 90 cm, the mirror has a strong architectural presence and works as a decorative wall sculpture in its own right.
Unsigned.
