A representative piece of late French Art Deco, this three-light sheaf chandelier showcases remarkable craftsmanship, characteristic of lighting workshops from the first half of the 20th century.
This three-arm suspended chandelier features a sculptural composition of great decorative coherence. Its generous volutes, starting from a central polished brass ring, rise in graceful curves, each supporting a floral chalice-shaped bobeche. The central body consists of a sheaf of three textured ribbed leaves, cast in the mass, whose surface work reveals craftsmanship superior to standard production. The fluted ceiling rose and the tulip-shaped fitting complete a decorative vocabulary.
Over the decades, the gilded brass has developed a warm natural patina, with shaded areas that accentuate the relief of the motifs and give the whole a depth characteristic of beautiful period pieces. Simple in its overall silhouette yet rich in its details, this chandelier fits equally well into a classic interior or a contemporary decor seeking a touch of character.
