Elegant Scandinavian table lamp from the 1960s, attributed to Nybro Armaturfabrik (ANF), Sweden.
The lamp stands on a substantial triangular base with rounded corners, crafted from solid clear glass with a subtle aqua tint, particularly visible through the thickness of the glass. The stem is composed of two turned and carved wood elements, separated and accented by decorative brass rings.
The combination of thick, subtly tinted glass, warm-toned wood and brass is characteristic of Scandinavian design from this period. The substantial glass base gives the lamp a strong sculptural presence while retaining a sense of visual lightness.
The lamp is fitted with a new cylindrical off-white fabric lampshade, selected to complement the proportions and understated character of the original design.
Sold individually with its new lampshade included.
