Pair of tripod three-light candlesticks in gilded brass, with organic floral decoration inspired by the arum lily, European artisanal production circa 1960–1970, in good general condition with original patina, sold as a pair.
The brass features an old gilded patina, slightly darkened by natural oxidation, characteristic of pieces untreated for several decades. The construction by assembling welded rods gives the whole a visual lightness despite the material's solidity. The formal vocabulary, organic curves, stylized plants, is in keeping with the Art Nouveau repertoire, reinterpreted here in a more sober and industrial key typical of European production in the 1960s.
For use as table, mantelpiece or interior decoration.
