Elegant pair of candle holders/tealight holders by designer Gunnar Ander for Ystad Metall, featuring gilded brass mounts, thick glass bases and coloured glasswork: one lantern in purple glass and one in opaline white glass.
The collaboration between Gunnar Ander and Ystad Metall was particularly intense in the 1950s and 1960s, a period corresponding to the golden age of Scandinavian design. These pieces perfectly exemplify the Swedish modernist aesthetic: functionality, simplicity, and refined elegance.
These tea light holders are now emblematic collectible objects of Nordic design.
