Federico Beltrán Masses was a Spanish painter born February 18, 1885 in Madrid and died October 4, 1949 in Mexico City. He was particularly known for his elegant portraits and scenes of aristocratic life. Beltrán Masses was influenced by symbolism and modernism, and his style has often been compared to that of the Old Masters, notably Titian and Velázquez. He also worked as a theater and film decorator. His work is present in numerous public and private collections around the world.
