A set consisting of a tapered candlestick and a square bowl in solid bronze, in an expressive and textured brutalist style. Each of the two elements bears a hollow engraved inscription, in a scarified style:
– “The Angels’ Share” (on the candlestick)
– “Well-defined place” (on the cup)
The surface has been polished unevenly, which brings out some browner areas. This deliberate effect develops a contrasting patina, evoking the wear of time while retaining a certain shine. Unsigned set, but strongly evocative of a French artisanal production of the 1980s, in the style of "Waiting for the Barbarians" .
